SERVICES WE CAN PROVIDE
We run two Atom Sprayers, both fitted with ground sensing radar to give very accurate flow control, and one Tracatom Formula with an Andreoli trail behind sprayer, all with Tabula GPS systems linked to the TeeJet 844-AB spray controller.
This combination gives us and our clients absolute certainty of correct product placement.
Mowing and Mulching
Although, "Spraying is what we do" is our byline, we do also provide an orchard mowing and mulching service as required.
We operate the TracAtom Formula with a Cabe 2.2 metre cut mulcher, for dealing with kiwifruit winter prunings and male prunings, as well as for some of the heavier grass mowing (if the grass control has got away from someone). With 120 hp available from the tractor, the work rate of this combination makes it very competitive.
We have used a Kubota ZD28 side delivery mower for many years and have not long (July 2023) replaced this with a Kubota ZD1212 rear delivery mower. This is proving to be a very effective unit for taking care of that spring and summer mowing.
Strip Weed Spraying
As part of our spraying operation, we also provide a Strip Weed spraying service.
In the early days, this service was provided utilising tractors with either one or two side booms depending on row widths. This was eventually superseded by a Honda quad-bike with only one side boom which was considerably more efficient.
We now use an RTV which provides more safety and comfort for the operator, still using a single side boom but also with a front mounted wide boom for taking care of those pesky weeds in loadout areas.
